wild animals triage and rehabilitation center project

We are on a mission to support wild animals in the Amazon region of Brazil and preserve the precious Amazon Forest. But we can't do it without you!

The Wild Animals Triage and Rehabilitation Center (CETRAS) will be dedicated to the Amazonian primates’ care, which are facing a silent but devasting crisis caused by the continued advance of human activities in the Amazon region.

The primates, social and highly intelligent creatures, are especially vulnerable to illegal hunting, wild animals trafficking and deforestation caused by agricultural expansion, mining and logging. Given this scenario, it is our responsibility as a society to act to minimize the impacts of these devastating actions.

how you can help

  • Your donation can provide these wild animals, particularly Amazonian primates, with essential infrastructure for rehabilitation and reintegration.
  • By sponsoring a part of these costs, you directly impact their lives and help protect the Amazon biodiversity.
  • This Center aims to not only provide a safe haven for at-risk primates, but also work towards their eventual reintegration into the forest.
  • We already have the land and now we count on you to help us make this Center a reality!

how it works

  • Your donation will go directly towards the CETRAS’ creation. It will be located in Cacoal, state of Rondônia, in the heart of one of the most affected areas.
  • The space for the CETRAS’ implementation will be close to the highway, allowing quick access to rescue locations and facilitating the animals’ transport logistics.
  • A specialized structure, with areas dedicated to screening, veterinary care, rehabilitation and preparation for reintegration will be developed to make this Center a reality.
  • BKK Institute receives the resources, manages implementation and ensures that the funds are used in the most efficient way.
  • You can help by donating any amount to the BKK Institute to fund the implementation.

double your impact

The BKK Institute is committed to matching every donation 100%,
